Project Overview
SOLIS Engineering & Project Services was contracted to execute the specialised rigging and heavy lifting of a 65-tonne pressure vessel during a plant shutdown.
The operation required detailed planning, precision execution and strict safety compliance in a live industrial environment with limited downtime.
The Challenge
The plant had restricted access, limited laydown area and complex infrastructure around the lift path. The vessel had to be removed and replaced within a tight shutdown window without compromising safety or plant integrity.
SOLIS Scope
SOLIS developed a tailored lift plan and executed the complete rigging and lifting operation. From detailed planning and method statements through to supply of specialised lifting equipment, rigging execution and post-lift inspection.
Safety Considerations
Safety was integrated into every stage of the operation. Comprehensive risk assessment, permit-to-work compliance, toolbox talks, lift briefings and exclusion zone management were applied throughout.
Outcome
The vessel was lifted out and replaced safely, on time and within the planned shutdown window. The lift was completed with zero recordable incidents and client operational readiness was fully restored.
